Is there a way I can reset the "Check Engine" light on this model myself, and if so how?

Austin: Unhook the negative battery cable for 5 minutes and then hook it back up. The check engine light should go out. As that is a code from the computer. If not, go to any AutoZone and they can shut that off too. Hopefully you got your car coded as to why that light is on? If not AutoZone will code your car for free. Till you fix what is wrong and why that light came on; it will not go out till that is done. Hope this helps and good luck!
