Mitsubishi Repair: my galant, mini van, galant

Dear, Linda I have 1999 Galant and I now know for a fact that on my driver side door I need a power lock actulator.But my question is on my passenger door it doesn't make a loud buzzing noise like my driver door but it will only  unlock not lock , so if I want to lock it I have to do it by hand  please help. Thank You

Reshaud: It is a lot of work to take the door apart and get this fixed. I would take it to a shop and let them find your problem. It could be something really easy and it could be something really hard. It could be something out of of justment or something broke. When you think of all the dirt and dust that gets into the doors, you can see why it could just do what it is doing. I have a mini van, the one door will unlock but not lock. I have taken it apart, cleaned the door inside. Replaced the part I thought was bad and put it all back together. Only it still does it. I am not so sure it is just the door and the lock. But I wish I could help you more. I think I am going to take my mini van, which is a Dodge to a dealership and let them find the problem. But you could take your car to shop and let them see if they could fix it for you. Or else you could go out to any parts store, buy a repair manual for your car and try to fix it yourself.
