my speedometer and odometer stopped working and also during acceleration the car kindof sputters until it gets over 3,000 rpms. whats wrong?

The speedometer and odometer are controlled by small gears in the transmission.  Since you are also noticing sputtering problems, this may indicate an internal problem with the transmission itself.  I'd recommend having a transmission shop inspect your transmission for damage and give a more thorough diagnosis.
