Mitsubishi Repair: 1996 mitsubishi galant 2.4, mitsubishi galant, vacuum leak

My car has 155000 miles.I had it acouple months and it strated missing.Its an auto trans and when it started it jerked will bad and got wose over time.When this happens the tach jumps around. But I can restart and it may run fine. I check and replaced the distrbutor but Its still doing the same thing as before

Rodney:I would have the fluid for the tranmission checked and then replaced, with a new filter too. Do you have an AutoZone close by? They would code your car for you, you could have a sensor that is getting weak or your computer could be having a problem. If all those check out. I would have the timing checked and then the timing belt. When is the last time you did a good tune up on it?  Also have a shop check for a vacuum leak. I know this is a lot of things but it could be one of many things. Hope this helps and good luck!
