Mitsubishi Repair: service engine light @ 80,000, o2 sensors, mitsubishi engine

Question
I have a 95 geo tracker with a mitsubishi engine, the service engine light came on at 80,000. What is it trying to tell me. I have no dealers in my area.

Answer
Hi Cal,

Often there are O2 sensors that are set to go off automatically at 'x' miles. There is a reset button in a module on some vehicles but I'm not sure if and where it would be on yours. I suggest you get a manual from an auto parts store and check it out. They're inexpensive and a wealth of information.

Good Luck!
