Mitsubishi Repair: timing belt, mitsubishi 3000, rough estimate

Question
How much should it cost to replace a timing belt for a Mitsubishi 3000?

Answer
Hi Mandy,

The answer to that is all dependant upon where you go to have the work done. A dealer will generally charge you more as they're experts on their brand.

I suggest you do some shopping. A certified shop is the wisest but you could find someone who isn't certified that would do a good job.

Be sure to get an estimate in writing, as well. Should the job cost more, they'll be required to report to you as to why the cost will be greater.

A rough estimate on my part would be around the $500.00 range although I've never paid anyone to do that job as I do it myself.

Good Luck!
