Mitsubishi Repair: Montero Alarm/RKE problems, programming mode, rke

2001 Montero alarm malfunctioned.  It went off while key was on.  Pulled fuses to shut it off.  Now fuses replaced.  Doesn't do this anymore, but can't get vehicle into programming mode to program new remote.  Wonder if factory alarm and/or RKE system even works now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Brandon: Sounds like your should take your car to a shop and have them check it. Or else go have it coded at any AutoZone as they will do this for free. Then you could see if you might have a bad sensor someplace. Whatever should be telling the computer what is going on, is not doing it's job. Should buy yourself a repair manual, from any parts store for around $20.00. It would help you check out things on your car. Hope this helps and good luck!
