Mitsubishi Repair: 1997 eclipes non turbo, mechanic check, vacuum line

after driving my car for about 15 min., when i apply the brake it make a funny noise then it stalls. if i am driving I'm fine only when i come to a stop does it stall. what do you think it is?

It sounds like there may be a problem with the system that controls your idling.  The main component for this is your Idle Speed Controller (ISC) and your throttle body.  Have those items inspected for proper functionality.  There is also a possibility the vacuum line from your intake manifold to your brake boost has a leak in it.  That could be causing the strange noise upon braking and stalling out.  But have your mechanic check areas.
