Question
Tried to start my 90 Galant this morning it cranks just fine but it wont start.  There are several louder than normal clicking sounds coming from behind the glove box.  Im guessing its a relay of some type is bad?  Any help you can give me will be GREATLY appreciated!

 Thanks!

Answer
Michael: Sounds like your computer. It seems that Mitsubishi farmed out the building of their computers to aother company. Those computer have a piece in them that will start to leak, though that piece still works anything that it leaks on, shorts out. So the computer goes. Now you can have the computer rebuilt, a lot of companies on the internet will do this. You can try to get one at a junk yard or buy new. But you must get the right one, that goes with your car and engine. Need to get yourself a repair manual, can be bought at any parts store for around $20.00. It will explain it all to you. AutoZone will code your car for free but then if it will not start to get there. That won't help you either. But if you take the glove box out and can smell what smells like burnt wires; I am pretty sure that will be your computer shorting out. Hope this helps and good luck!
