Mitsubishi Repair: 03 Mitsubishi spyder heat problem, mitsubishi spyder, ducting systems

Question
I have a 03 spyder 4cyl. auto that will heat up properly and blow warm to hot air into the car while moving.  Once we come to a stop the air blowing into the cabin turns cold (outside temp).  We have had the cooling system flushed but still have not had any resolution of the problem.  Thx, Dan

Answer
Dan,
There may be a problem with the heater core, or a problem with the flow of coolant in the heater core.  Put the vent on Recirculated air and see if you notice the air is warmer.  That could indicate a problem with too much fresh air entering or the vents not flowing properly.  If the problem persists, you can have a mechanic inspect your HVAC and ducting systems.
Good luck!
