Mitsubishi Repair: mits 2001 gs, rear speakers, pulling power

Question
about a month ago the two rear speakers shorted out, and since then something has been completley draining my battery.  I disconnected everything to the speakers, but I am wondering what else it may have shorted out or where to start looking.  I have also had a problem with eccelerating from a dead stop. It is bodding down really bad, and is worse when the a/c is on.  Is there anything that may have shorted out that may be realted to the two?  Thank you for your time.

Answer
Carie: Got a AutoZone close by, I would have your car coded to see if you might have messed with a sensor or more then those speakers shorted out. You may have caused a short in the wiring and so that is pulling power off your battery even when the car is shut off. Have you checked your fuses? There are some inside the car on the driver side of the car but also in around the engine too. If you can not find out what is causing this. You need to either get a repair manual for your car, you get buy one of those for around $20.00 at any parts store. Or else get your car to a shop or a dealership. Hope this helps and good luck!
