Mitsubishi Repair: ahhhhhhhhhhhh......, engine cranks, autozone

Question
I pulled to the gas pump two days ago and got out to pump gas, when i got back in, the car wouldn't start, the lights, radio and everything else worked fine, but when I turned the key, the car made no attempt to start, so i replaced the starter, now the engine cranks but it won't start, I replaced the ignition coil but it isn't getting any fire, not even to the coil....?

Answer
Dustin: It could be a lot of different things. You need to get yourself a manual for your car. They cost around $20.00 at any parts store, then you start checking things. Start with your battery and work yourself through the list of things that power the stark. I mean your lights, radio and everything else could work even if the battery did not have enough power to start the car. Could be bad cables, a short in a wire someplace and when is the last time you did a tune up>  Could be there is a relay out, a sensor getting weak or out. Or it could even be your computer. No year or model of car, or even the mileage. So get that manual and see what is going on with your car. Might need to get a voltmeter too, to help you check things out. If there is an AutoZone close by, they could code it for you. But oh yes, it will not start. So you need that manual and that voltmeter. Hope this helps and good luck!
