Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi Ignition, spark plug wire, power transistor

I have a 2000 Mitsubishi Glant 2.4l. The engine stalled and started missing. I checked the fuel pump its working. Changed the Spark plugs the (2)coils sit on top of the plugs Cylinders #2 and #4 so I connected my timing gun to the Spark plug wire to cylinder #1 and then to Cylinder #3. I have no fire to cylinder #1 and #3 is firing so I swapped coils I still don't have fire to cylinder #1. I checked the voltages to the Coils with ignition on I have the same voltages on all 3 wires. Is there an ignition pickup coil some ware or the signal is sent through the computer. It starts when cold but missing, after a while when it warms up little it keeps on dyeing.

Steve:You need to go out and buy a manual for your car, you can get one at any parts store. I like Haynes, they are easier to understand. There is something called an ignition power transistor but you need an ohmeter to check the resistance but you need that manual to know what would be right and what is not. I can not put down what my book is telling me, it is long and you would need to keep checking back on it. So get the manual it will help you understand your car and how everything works. Could be you have a weak sensor too but again you need to start with that ohmeter working from the battery, work through the system till you find out what is causing your problems.
