Mitsubishi Repair: 2nd gear on 97 eclipse?, eclipse gsx, clutch disc

Question
I recently blew my engine out on my 1997 eclipse gsx, and had it replaced with a rebuilt engine, now that i thought everything would be just fine, everytime i try to shift into 2nd gear it always grinds trying to get there. All other gears are just fine and the car runs great except for the grinding noise when trying to get it into 2nd gear.      Also Whenever i first let go of the clutch and start going it makes a click sound, like if something is slipping or something... It just clicks one time, and i would hate to use the car if something really bad is wrong with it. I really dont know what to make of this clicking sound?
I would really appreciate an idea of what is wrong with my eclipse? so i can start out in a right way for trying to save some money.. thank you for your expertees..

Answer
Jose:First place I would take the car back to whoever rebuilt your engine. If you blew the engine out of the car, you could have messed up the clutch at the same time. I shall tell you what my manual says could be wrong,  faulty transaxle, faulty clutch disc, release lever and bearing not assembled properly, faulty pressure plate and pressure plate-to-flywheel bolts loose. Could be your motor mounts are loose. I understand about saving money and I think we all would like to do this. But I can only give an idea on my part from what you wrote. If nothing else buy yourself a manual on your car, they cost about $20.00 at a parts store and it would give you more ideas to check. Hope this helps and good luck!
