Mitsubishi Repair: 2002 Mitsubishi Galant, vacuum leaks, mitsubishi galant

My Galant has the 4 cylinder motor and when I take off or punch the gas, the car runs sluggish. It idles fine and when it is up to speed, runs great. The transmission oil is ok, the air filter is new and so are the plugs. Do you think that this may be the fuel filter? Thank you for your time and advice.

Charlie: I looked up in my book under engine stumbles on acceleration and this is what it says..fuel injection system component faulty, fuel filter clogged, incorrect ignition timing or vacuum leaks. I tell everyone I write to, to get a manual on their cars. You can buy them at any parts store. It would help you a lot and you would understand your car more. Hope this helps and good luck!
