Mitsubishi Repair: 1990 mitsubishi montero turn blinkers, mitsubishi montero, hazard flasher

I can not get my turn blinkers to come on. I bought a manual and replaced the turn signal/hazard flasher unit, and still nothing.  any suggestions?

Josie: Your car is old, think about how many times you have turned those lights on and off. So check to see if a fuse might be out, a relay, short, sensor, bulbs bad or something broke in the steering column so the short. Your book should have a drawing of how and where the turn lights get their power from. Start with the lights and work yourself back to their power. That should tell you what is going on. The turn signal/hazard flasher unit is different from the turn signal light set up. Hope this helps and good luck!
