Mitsubishi Repair: tail light and headlight, mitsubishi mirage, mirage 2000

Question
I have a mitsubishi mirage 2000 1.8 and the tail lights and dash board lights aren't working. I have checked fuse. Oh when the lights stop working we had installed a new CD Player. Everybody is saying that the problem is that I need a new headlight switch. Is the back-up light switch the same as the headlight switch? Also where can I order the Headlight switch?

Answer
Willena,
The dash lights and tail lights can go out if any of the brakes lights burn out.  You may want to check the tail light bulbs to see if you need to replace any.  The back-up light switch is different than the headlight switch.  The bakup switch is located in the the transmission shifter.  Though if you do need to replace the headlight switch, you'll need to order the new part from the dealership.
Good luck!
