Mitsubishi Repair: 96 MITSUBISHI NO VERY LITTLE SPARK AND NO INJECTION, noid light, misubishi

Question
i have a 96 misubishi galant with a 2.4l engine.  My problem is that my car all of the sudden stoped on me.  i had to tow it to my house.  the fist thing i ched was for spark and found none at the spark plugs.  Then i checked for injection with a noid light and found that there wasn't any injection eigther.  But when i took the distributor cap off i and try to start the car  and saw an intermitten spark.  if you have any ideas on how to solve the problem please let me know.  Thank you.

Answer
Manuel,
This could caused by a bad ignition coil, poor ignition timing, or even a malfunctioning ECU (car's computer).

A worn or malfunctioning ignition distributor can cause this problem and it would be a good idea to have a mechanic inspect this for you.  You may just need to replace the distributor, the cap, rotor, plugs and wires, and that will probably fix your problem.  I would also recommend a timing belt change if you haven't done so in the past 60,000 miles.
Good luck!
