Mitsubishi Repair: acceleration hesitation, throttle position sensor, intake hoses

i have a 1995 eclipse, 2.0 dohc non-turbo. the car is missing at idle and has a hesitation when you give it the gas to excellerate. it idles rough when first started. after warms up it smooths out a bit along with the accleration but still miss and doesnt accelerate correctly. any info?

You should have your ignition system checked.  You may need to replace your spark plug and plug wires.  You should also have your ignition coil inspected.  Other items to check are:
- Air filter
- Fuel filter
- Alternator
- Idle Speed Controller
- Throttle Position Sensor
- Intake hoses
- Fuel pump
- Catalytic Converter / O2 sensors
- Car's computer (ECU)
- Timing belt / belt tensioner

As you can see, there are a number of things that cause your problem.  You may just need a tune-up.  Have a mechanic inspect the items I've mentioned, especially the timing.  If your timing belt has not be changed in over 60,000 miles, you're overdue and should consider replacing it soon.
