Mitsubishi Repair: adding water in radiator daily, soft time, throttle cable

Question
hi... i own a 97 gst, my problem is that i add water daily to my radiator, between half a liter to 1 liter? is this normal? ive check for leaks but cant find one.

Answer
No Roman this is not normal..you shouldnt be losing fluid that fast..there has to be a leak!!! Try putting car on dry level surface and then pop the hood and start the car and look for leaks while pulling on your throttle cable, sometimes you wont see the leak on idle but pulling throttle will make pressure and you might see it spout out or leak out, or get a buddy to help you press the gas while you look..make sure to check all hoses running to and from cylinder head..there are a couple that run into your firewall..so make sure to check those. Sometimes the claps/fittings that hold hoses on inlet or outlet can be too tight and cause hose breakdown at the claps.. espeacially if your hoses are old and soft..speaking of soft hose, your leak could be in the middle of a hose, try squeezing the hoses and look for leaks, and if they are really soft...time to replace!

Good Luck!
