Mitsubishi Repair: Hesitation In 97 Eagle Talon esi, spark plug gap, fuel ratios

Question
I have been having problems with hesitation. I changed my spark plugs and wires but yet when im driving, If i give it alot of gas or go uphill in say 3rd or higher...It bogs down. Whats else could be doing this. Ive cleaned the intake body also with the spray cleaner. Also i have used fuel injection cleaner.

Thanks for your time.

Answer
Any engine codes?  Do you have your A/C on...If your compressor on your A/C is going out..this can cause bog on your engine...You might want to check your coil/distributor and wires that connect to it..I had the same problem and it was the wires coming off coil. Check the wiring coming of coil leading to ECU, this also could be a case of too much gas not enough spark or vice versa, try lowering your spark plug gap and see if any difference and then try increasing gap and see what happens...to me if your not having any engine codes/lights it could be a small miss when normal driving but when you push the gas and theres not enough spark and alot a gas.. it will bogg down because of the air/fuel ratios are not correct, you might want to check your air filter also! If you are having engine lights come on then take it to auto zone for a free scan ...this can help pinpoint problems!

Good Luck!
