Mitsubishi Repair: 97 Galant power door lock battery drain, power locks, problem changes

Question
We have a 97 Galant that suddenly had the following problem start. Battery was drained dead. When jumping battery we found that the power locks would not unlock by remote and took almost key breaking strength to unlock by key. Only when we reconnect the battery does the alarm reset and the doors lock. Besides then, the lock switch only barely attempts to move in the unlock direction and nothing happens in the lock direction. Battery and alternator tested ok. Doors do not lock themselves while using the car all day but battery still drains overnight and once again the doors lock when jumping the car. I am not sure if I have an alarm problem (factory) or a door lock problem. Is there a way to disarm the alarm without it resetting as soon as the battery is connected? and is there a power lock relay I could remove to see if the draining problem changes? Thank you

Answer
Buy a new battery and check alarm wiring. This also could be a short somewhere..If your battery is drained dead, just jumping the car wont charge battery enough, Try removing the ground (negative wire) off battery at night and see if it makes a difference...

Good Luck
