Mitsubishi Repair: radiator fan/hesitant to start when hot, coolant temp, radiator fan

Question
I have a 1993 mitsu 3000gt sl which has begun to have a problem starting when hot. I noticed that only one radiator fan is working. The car runs hotter than normal but doesn't overheat. When starting it also seems that sometimes there seems to be no coke engageing. Can you tell me where to find the coolant temp sensor? Any suggestions?

Answer
Coolant temp sensor is your thermostat!! This sounds like a electrical relay problem to your fan..check all wires and if need be, check the wires with a test light to see if your getting any fire! But this also could be a theromstat problem as well..... should be at the bottom of the radiator or along piping(close to cylinder head) If you lower your theromstat setting make sure not to lower it  more than 20 degress So check wires and replace theromstat.

Good luck!

P.S. I can get great deals on aftermarket thermostats. If your running a 190 degree theromstat Im sure I can get a 170-180 for you shipped to your door! Let me know if interested!
