Mitsubishi Repair: 1992 Mitsubishi Eclipse 1.8 Hatchback Automatic, mass air sensor, mitsubishi eclipse

Question
This past week I have dropped a new motor in it (actually reman probably 80g miles on it). Had a miss, so I replaced the Engine Control Computer, Wouldn't start, hit the distributor with a hammer so it started, replaced the distributor. Took a little bit, like twice to get the car to start, after RPMs were up for about 30 sec. the car had no problem starting for the rest of the day. This morning I went out to start it to pull it into the garage while I went to work, I tried about 10 times the thing didn't start, it was probably 30ish degrees outside. I'm wondering if this could be a fuel filter?

Answer
Jesika,
If you tried to start the car 10 times, and it would turn over, but not start, that many times will foul your spark plugs with fuel.  If you pull your plugs and they smell like gas, that means your fuel filter is fine.  But it also means your spark plugs are fouled and need to be replaced.

The problem you're experiencing could also be caused by a faulty distributor, distributor cap, distributor rotor, or even the ignition timing. It's also a good idea to have your battery and alternator checked out as well.  If air temperature seems to determine the reliability of your engine starting, there might be a problem with your Mass Air Sensor, and that should be inspected.  Have those items checked out.
Good luck!
