Mitsubishi Repair: Engine, fuse boxes, eclipse gs

I have a 95 Eclipse GS 2.0 Manual, I was wondering if the engine would come with a V6. if not could i use a another engine 3.0

There was no Eclipse made before 2000 that came with a 3.0L engine.  And only the convertible Eclipse had an available 2.4L engine (which was the largest engine used in an Eclipse before 2000).

As a simple 'drop in' swap, this would not work at all.  The 3.0L engine would be too big, it would not fit the mounts, the tranny from the 3.0L would not fit, and the 2.0L tranny would not match up.  Not mention you'd need to replace all the engine eletrical harnesses, relay & fuse boxes, ECU, and the existing suspension would struggle to support the larger, heavier 3.0L engine.
