Mitsubishi Repair: warning lights, mitsubishi montero sport, advanced auto parts

Question
I have a 1995 Mitsubishi Montero Sport and while driving it home the other night two warning lights came on at the same time and have stayed on. One is the A/T while the other is the one that looks like a battery. Car still operates fine. I checked the level of the transmission fuel and it seems fine. Any other ideas?

You may want to have your battery and alternator tested by a mechanic.  Or if you have an AutoZone, Advanced Auto Parts, or PepBoys in your area, they can load test your battery and alternator for free.  The 'dummy' lights that you saw come on usually are one of the first signs you see that either the battery or alternator are starting to go bad.
