Mitsubishi Repair: Turn Signal on the side of the car., sigals, hazard lights

Question
94 Eclipse 2.0
My problem is the turn sigals on the front side are not working.  They do however work in the back and front (next to the headlights).  I have replaced the bulbs due passager side was out.  Do you have any idea what could cause this.

Thanks
Tom

Answer
Tom,
You may have a bad fusible link or faulty relay.  It's also possible the wiring harness for those side markers has come loose or broke.  You should be able to check the wiring from under the hood.  If you cannot see any wiring problems and the bulbs for sure are not burnt out, there may be a problem with the switch that controls the turn signals.  That switch is located in your steering column.  Turn on your hazard lights, and see if those function.  Both the turn signals and the hazard lights are on the same circuit, so you may find your problem there.
Good luck!
