Mitsubishi Repair: Blinker, 1995 mitsubishi mirage, mitsubishi mirage

Question
My blinker, and hazzards on my 1995 mitsubishi mirage (1.5 S coupe) are not working. I thought that it might be a flasher fuse, and i bought that from autozone. But i cannot seem to find the spot to put it. It is not uner my steering wheel and it is not under the hood. Do you know if i am looking for the right thing, and if i am where can i find it!?

Answer
Brian,
Typically, the wiring for the hazard light switch is in series with the blinkers.  Meaning, if the hazard light switch was disconnected, your blinkers would not work either.  If you've had any work done around your dash where the hazard light switch is located, it's possible the eletrical harness came free; preventing your blinkers from working.

I do not believe you have a "blinker" fuse as such.  If there is a fuse associated with that, then it would be a general fuse that would control other lighting.  Check under your hood for a flasher relay.  I'm not that familiar with your fuse box layout on your particular car, so I can't describe where it is.  You should also check your blinker bulbs to see if any are burnt out.
Good luck!
