Mitsubishi Repair: eclipse 2003 brakes, raybestos brakes, oem pads

Question
i've been told that only mistubishi brakes work properly. can i use akebono or raybestos brakes (ceramic of course)?

constant squeaking with aftermarket brakes, changed to mitsubishi and worked ok.

will akebono and raybestos ceramic work.

thanks. geting car done on saturday. thanks.

Answer
Mark,
Akebono and Raybestos cermanic pads should both work for your car.  I cannot say whether or not they will squeak, but typically most ceramic pads do not squeak.  I say to try either one of those aftermarket pads to see if you like them.  If they don't perform the way you like, switch back to the OEM pads for your next brake job.

Being that the 2003 Eclipse is fairly new, it probably hasn't been field tested amongst too many aftermarket pads yet.  But I think you'll have luck with either the Akebono or Raybestos.
Good luck!
