Mitsubishi Repair: Computer diagnostics, eclipse gsx, diagnostic computer

Hello Anthony,

I wrote to you before about my car: 91 Eclipse GSX AWD turbo.  I had a idle problem and I still do now I just want to have the codes read for the engine with a diagnostic computer, but I found out that for older models before 96' you don't need any specialized equipment, do you know how to obtain these codes?

Unless your check engine light (CEL) is on, you won't be able to pull any trouble codes from your car's computer.  But if your ECU is on, and stays on while you're driving, you can refer to this page to get the codes and decipher them:
