Mitsubishi Repair: 1994 Galiant, galiant, distributor cap

Question
It stalls going down the highway and you have to tap the gas pedal a few times to get it going again. It also stalls when you make a turn. The tach needle jumps up and it dies. Doesn't happen all the time but enough to be a hazzard. Any ideas where to look. Just had a complete tune up and new distributor put in 6-8 months ago. Hate to spend more money if I can zero in on the problem.

Also,where is the computer in these cars?

Your problem originally sounded like a distributor cap problem, but you mentioned you had a full tune up.  You may just want to check your cap, rotor and spark plugs again just to be sure.

Also, have your fuel pump checked out.  It may be weak and not able to supply enough fuel to the engine.  Also, if it's been over 2 years, replace both your air and fuel filters.  Clogged filters will also cause the problem you're describing.
