Mitsubishi Repair: Transmision is in the safy..., mechanical failure, transmission shop

Question
Transmision is in the safy mode.
And will not shift.stuck in one gear.
There is no hesitation.goes good.
This is on a diamanti.1994.E S model

You should have your transmission checked by a mechanic.  When it sticks in one gear, that usually indicates a mechanical failure inside the transmission.  You may have  a misadjusted linkage, a stuck valve body, or even a worn band.  It's possible you'll get lucky and it may be a simple part replacement, but your mechanic may suggest a transmission rebuild.  

Take your car to a speciality transmission shop.  Your average mechanic garage may not be equipped to handle the tranny in your car.  A transmission shop will be better equipped and will have more experience.
