Mitsubishi Repair: Warning Light comes on at 4000 Revs, mitsubishi mirage, dash light

1992 Mitsubishi Mirage Manual. Seems to be running on 3 cylinders and at 4000 revs a light comes on (red light on dash that looks like a muffler with 3 wiggly lines above it) What is this light and what should I do?

Unfortunately, you stumped me on what that dash light means.  It's possible that it represents your radiator or cooling system  Make sure you have enough coolant in your system.  You may want to consider getting a coolant flush done if it's been more than a few years since your last one.

If you're only running on 3 cylinders, get a tune-up.  Have your spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, and rotor replaced.  Also have your air filter, fuel filter and PCV valve replaced.  You want to make sure your engine is getting the right amount of fuel, air, and that your sparks are all firing properly.
