Mitsubishi Repair: transmission, tranny fluid, eagle talon

Question
HI, I have a 93 Eagle Talon, 2.0L, ES, Auto, FWD. My car all of a sudden would not go into OD and has trouble going into gear. It started acting up when it got cold out. It starts out and reaches 3500 RPM and slams into gear. I checked the fluid and it is fine. I even put some stuff into it to clean out the valves. I don't know what else to do and I really hope I didn't blow the tranny. It only has 90K on it. Please help. Thanks.

Answer
Brad,
You should first try having your transmission fluid flushed, the filter changed, and fill with new fluid.  Many times the problems you indicated can be remedied with new fluid.  Your tranny fluid should be replaced every 40,000 miles or so.  If a tranny fluid flush does not help with your problem, you should have a transmission shop inspect your tranny for any internal damage.
Good luck!
