Question
I have a 1993 Mitsubishi Galant 4 door and lately I see the Engine Service Soon light come on all the time on the dashboard. What would be the reason for this? Is this serious problem? Can I keep it driving until get it fixed?

Your Check Engine Light (CEL) comes on when your car's computer detects a problem with one of your sensors or emissions components.  Unless you have your car's computer scanned for codes, I'm afraid I cannot even guess what's causing your problem.  That light is on for a reason, so you should get it looked as soon as possible.  If you have an AutoZone in your area, you can ask them if they can check your car's computer for codes.  On most cars, they will do this for free.  Else, you'll need to take your car to a regular mechanic and have your CEL checked out.
