Mitsubishi Repair: transmission, mitsubishi transmission, transmission gears

Question
what would cause my 1994 mitsubishi transmission to stall when i try to overtake another car on the road? And what has cause it to take along time to change out or reach maximum rpm before it change to another gear?
Could it be that the clutch is finish or it neads to be overall?

It maybe possible your transmission gears are wornout and need replacing since you mentioned this "maximum rpm,It will get worse later on with slipping and the smell of burning transmission fluid it will required to repair the gears to correct this problem.
