Mitsubishi Repair: My car decided it wouldnt start last night...., mitsubishi mirage, electrical problem

I own an '85 Mitsubishi Mirage. Last night I hopped in and it was 100% dead. I thought, this is strange... I ran around work trying to find someone with jumpers and proceeded to try and jump my car. However, that was not the trouble, my battery was fine. When I turn my key, the only response from my car is a clicking noise in the engine. The car was perfectly fine when I was driving to work, and I doubt anything major happened because my car doesn't smoke. Someone suggested it may be the starter or something very minor. I don't know much about cars but I think I agree... Can you help?

Most of the time a starter will give little give aways when it's going bad unless it starts to drag and take the engine to start a few times. Try tapping on it with a small hammer if it starts up after that then the silinoid is bad in it and the starter needs replacing but i would have it tested before buying another one or it could be a electrical problem if the starter is ok.  Goodluck
