Mitsubishi Repair: Mitsubishi expo LRV 1992 computer, mitsubishiparts, immobilizer system

Question
My Mitsubishi expo LRV 1992 (CA) computer blew out.
I ordered a new one with mitsubishiparts (rockville) but the engine still does not start, the relay is fluttering. The fuel is injected, but the spark plugs don't spark.
What can be the problem?
The garage thinks there might be an immobilizer system with not corresponding computer code? Could this be? If you just change the computer (by a new one) something else has te be exchanged as well?
I am from the Netherlands and am really stuck now. Please help.

Answer
Chris,
I don't believe your immobilizer system would be able to distinguish your old computer from the new one you installed, though it is still a possibilty.  I'm not familiar with the Expo LRV because I do not see those here in the States.  But the guys at Rockville would know for sure.  You can contact them to see if they have any further clues.

Make sure the garage has checked your ignition coil/distributor to see if power is getting there.  Also have the computer checked again to be sure there are no bent pins on the connector.
Good luck!
