Mitsubishi Repair: Engine starts, but no power., power transitor, air fuel mixture

Question
1995 Mitsubishi Eclipse,2.0L Turbo,GS-t,Manual.Engine starts,but has no power.Moves at only two(2) miles an hour.

Answer
Naing,
There are a few probable causes for this problem.  The first being a fuel problem.  If there isn't enough fuel getting to your engine, your car will drive very slow.  You should have your fuel pump, fuel injectors, fuel filter and fuel pressure regulator checked to be sure they're operating properly.

Another possible cause is a faulty ignition system.  Check your spark plugs, plug wires, coil pack and power transitor.  If your ignition system isn't sending enough current to your spark plugs, your fuel will not ignite; causing slow speeds.

The third probably cause is a clogged exhaust system.  As car's age, their catalytic converters can get clogged.  As it clogs, that puts a lot of back pressure on the engine; causing your top speed to be severily reduced.  Catalytic coverters can get clogged when the air/fuel mixture is too rich (too much fuel).  This is typically caused if your O2 sensors are faulty.

The items I mention checked out, and hopefully you'll pin-point your problem.
Good luck!
