Mitsubishi Repair: 95 mitsubishi mirage (eagle summit esi), mitsubishi mirage, throwout bearing

Question
I just bought a 95 eagle summit esi which really is a mitsubishi mirage.  I have only a few questions I hope you can answer.  On the a/c button, you push once it's orange, twice it's green.  What is the difference? ( it didn't come with a manual)
Now, the important questions...
1.  The belt squeels when accelerating and other times when the a/c is on, but makes no sound otherwise when the a/c is off. I've been told that I just need a new serpentine belt?  Does this sound like a belt problem or compressor problem or something else?
2.  When I put the gear in reverse there's a whirling type of noise from up front sometimes.  What would you think this could be from and how is the best way to fix it?
3. The driver's power window goes up crooked unless I apply pressure to one side at the same time it's going up.  Is this an easy fix?
4. the SRS light is always on.  Does this mean that the airbag definitely isn't working or something else? How can I make sure the airbag works and make the light go off?
5. Do you know of after-market performance mods for this year mirage/summit?
Thanks,
Brian

Answer
Hi Brian

I'm not sure about the ac button someone must have modified it before you bought it and had something hooked up to it.

On your belts sqeaking,It could be that it is wornout and need replacing or the pulley which keeps it on track and not slip off needs replacing to correct the noise.

Is your car a automatic or manual to determine the noise your hearing,If it's a manual its a possible that the throwout bearing in the transmission is going which is recommended to replace everytime the clutch is replaced.

Your window must be offtrack which is easy to fix or the motor which glides it up and down need replacing but they are kinda expensive if buy new.
I'm not sure about the SRS light,Anything electrical i try to stat away from a very frusting job to do
