Mitsubishi Repair: 1994 Eclipse (1.8 SOCH)(MANUAL), mechanic check, voltage regulator

Question
I HAVE CHANGED THE ALTERNATOR ON THREE OCCACIONS WITHIN A YEAR.  I THINK THE ALTERNATOR GOING BAD IS A RESULT OF THE PROBLEM.  DO YOU HAVE ANY THOUGHTS ON WHAT IT COULD BE?  DO ECLIPSE CARS HAVE THIS INNATE PROBLEM?

I HOPE YOU CAN HELP.

LUIS

Answer
Hi Luis,

Most alternators are made across sea and sometimes on some car makes it could take up 2-3 times before you get a decent one because they are made cheap but sold high in the states. But if it is a constant problem for you then you have a circuit problem in your wiring harness which is located where you connect the small bolt with the wires that connects to the battery for charging. If that is bad it will need rewiring which i recommend have a mechanic check that with a voltage regulator and that will determine if it's bad or not. Goodluck
