Mitsubishi Repair: noisy transmission, harmful dirt, major trouble

dear sir,

I have noticed when I engage my auto on my 1999 Diamante during cold start, there are excessive noise at first and goes off after driving 10 mins. or so (warmed up). Recently, had the transmission serviced but still the sound remains. The gearing seems smooth,.. is it a signal that the transmission is about to pack up? If not what can I do or have done to rectify the problem?

Hi Francis,

First off check to see if the transmission fluid was changed if so ask the person if he/she changed the filter in it,It's always recommended to replace them to keep harmful dirt and debris away from the gears inside the transmission to keep it running smooth. Also make sure it's not leaking from the seal if it is that is a sign of major trouble soon for you and the labor for your year of car is high i won't lie to you.
