Mitsubishi Repair: TIMING BELT, internal engine components, camshaft position

Question
I HAVE A 1993 DIAMANTE AND I CANT SEEM TO GET IT STARTED AFTER CHANGING THE TIMING BELT IT HAS THE 3000 V6 ENGINE WITH AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION

Answer
Patrick,
If the timing belt is not set correctly, your camshaft position senor will detect that your timing is off, and will not allow your engine to start.  It does this because if the engine starts when the valves are in the wrong position, it could cause severe damage to internal engine components.  If you have a timing gun, you'll want to verify your timing marks are in the correct position.  I believe your #1 cylinder should be about 5 degrees BTDC to be within spec.  But check your service manual to verify.
Good luck!
