Mitsubishi Repair: anti-theft servicing, eclipses, key chain

Question
I recently bought a 94 eclipse.....by battery went down when I left my lights on....when I jumped the battery, I activated the anti-theft device and I have no idea how to disable it....now my car won't start....please help!

Answer
Keith,
I'm not familiar with the factory alarms on the older Eclipses.  But to disable the alarm on the 95 and newer Eclipses, you simply insert your key into the drivers side door.  Then unlock and lock the door once or twice.  That would disable the alarm.  Pushing the lock/unlock buttons on your key chain remote will not do anything, from my understanding.

If that doesn't work, you may want to contact the service department at your local dealership for some instruction.  You can even check your owners manual for some information.
Good luck!
