Motorcycle Repair: vin

Hi Jan, I just purchased a CBX. In order to get a title I have to give them the vin. Could you please tell me where the tag is located?

Hi,  The VIN tag is located on one side of the headstick of the frame.  The actual VIN is also stamped into the headstock on the right side of the headstock if you're sitting on the bike.

If it is a 1979 it should start with CB1, a 1980 should start with SC03 and a 1981-1982 should start with JH2...
