Question
I have a 2002 honda cbr600 F4I. Whenever my bike is wormed up like when the heat is around 170 it sometime shut down by itlsef when I come to a complete stop, however, it starts and rides good. Which part should I replace that is cause this problem? I think its a pressuer problem. Yeah and whenever it dies I have to gas up while starting it.

Answer
Hello Moe,

You are quite right. It sounds like a fuel pressure problem, overpressure in particular.

I would start from the vacuum hose that goes to the fuel pressure regulator. Most probably, it's cut or punctured, thus the pressure doesn't drop when you back-off the throttle, leading to over-rich mixture and misfire.

It could also be the fuel return hose is somehow twisted or pinched, but in that case the mixture would be rich all the time and not only when decelerating.

Check the above for starters and get back to me with results. I also need to know what's your idle speed.

Best Regards,
Lazaros.
