Motorcycle Repair: Electrical Problems, honda trail 90, turn signals

Question
I have a 1971 Honda Trail 90 that I just bought a new battery for and I can only get half the lights to work.  It starts up just fine and runs but the low beam setting on the headlight, the taillight and the turn signals will not work.  I've got two wiring diagrams (one of them is quite different from the other) and I'm still left scratching my head in bewilderment. It does appear that the fuse on the battery is working.  Any ideas?

Answer
Hi Tracey,

The headlight and tail light problem could be inside the headlight switch.

Did you check if the low beam filament inside the headlight is burnt out?

Check the tail light brown wire for power and the bulb and socket
for problems. The green ground also has to be working.

The signals could be the signal switch, flasher or the bulbs as well.

All the bulbs are 6 volt which can be hard to find sometimes.

Let me know what details you need as I just finished restoring
one of these bikes and have alot of info on them.
