Motorcycle Repair: off road 200cc chinese bike start problems, magnetic switch, black lead

Hi gary,bought new battery, new start switch, still wont fire up tested solioied direct to 12 volt battery heard clicking and vibrate all ok.when i touched the black lead directly on to the red lead of the solioied the electric start kicked in immedieatly.why wont the push button i bought work the system in the normal way.have another black relay near to the solinoied do i need to change this please help am a novice at this sort of thing thanks

Im not totally understanding the question. The battery powers the start solenoid and the solenoid is the magnetic switch between the starter and the battery. Its triggered by the start button on the handle bars. If you can jump across the battery terminals on the solenoid and the starter turns over then you may need to replace the solenoid.
