Motorcycle Repair: 1984 Honda VF1100C v65 magna, v65 magna, waretown nj

Question
Hello
First and foremost do you know any excellent old school motorcycle repair mechanics in NJ or PA with restoration references?
History- 5580 miles, carbs cleaned and rebuilt, new tires, new fork seals, with 1 year, fuel pump professionally checked  excellent and original, added extra fuel filter to make sure fuel clean, been to Trapanis Motorcycle in Waretown NJ(Jersey Shore) repair three times with over $900 in repairs and the original repair problem still exists. Run super fuel with Marvels Mystery Oil with each tank fill up. I love the bike but I am beginning to not trust it and afraid of breakdown.
Problem- Bike was occasionally but now it happens frequently - cuts out and I have to run 4000 rpm or higher in lower gears( first , second, third) to get bike to limp home ( at 5-10 mph) to drive 200-300 yards at a time before it dies out- it will restart in about 20 minutes?Very annoying and need help I am Not a mechanic but would rather tear off my right arm than get rid of it but its costs are skyrocketing? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Answer
Jim, there are a number of Honda V-4 sites out there, but a few do cover the probable cause, which is likely the ignition system.  Spark units are very common failures on all of these models.

or search Honda V-4 ignitor repair.

This assumes that your fuel tank is clean inside, including fuel lines/filters, that valves are adjusted and compression is fine on all 4 cylinders.
