Motorcycle Repair: lifter noise, adjustable pushrods, hydraulic lifters

1986 flhtc 1340 , have hydraulic lifters and adjustable pushrods with a 32/inch thread count. have adjusted to 20 flats and still have lifter noise ,according to instructional video  for 88's.can't find anything in my manuel.

Your bike didnt come with adjustable lifters, that is why you cant find anything in the book. Lifter noise is not a bad thing, its just annoying. It is the ticking of the pushrods due to valve lash. You can adjust them a little tighter and see if that doenst get rid of the noise. If it doesnt, then your probably going to have to replace the lifters.
